Start here

Paste two blocks into an ordinary AI chat that accepts text: your approved material, and your question list. The prompt (appended below) only drafts; you check it.

Inputs to paste

  • Between <<<APPROVED_INFO and APPROVED_INFO>>>: the only material allowed as a source (product description, policy text, pricing sheet, support notes, email threads).
  • Between <<<QUESTIONS and QUESTIONS>>>: your questions in your own wording.

How to use

  1. Copy the complete prompt below, including both marker blocks.
  2. Replace the placeholder lines inside each block with your content. Do not delete the markers.
  3. Send it in one message. If you leave a block empty or missing, the prompt asks you for it instead of inventing content.

How to check the output

  • Every answer has a Source: line with a short quote and its heading or paragraph label.
  • Contradictions appear as CONFLICT: side by side, unresolved.
  • Unanswered parts say NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL.
  • Open Questions for a Human Reviewer lists partly answered and unanswerable items.
  • Verification Checklist at the end answers each item Yes/No/Not applicable.

What this prompt is for

Office workers, support staff and small teams often need an FAQ but risk publishing guesses. This prompt produces a reviewable draft where each answer is traceable to the pasted packet, so a person can verify before anything is published or sent.

Permissions and limitations

  • No browsing, sending, publishing or scheduling. It is a drafting aid only.
  • No legal, medical or financial advice; contradictions are flagged, never resolved.
  • Facts absent from the pasted material are not added. Vague wording gets softened and listed for review.
  • Source reviewed; runtime not tested. Setup is documented below; no execution was performed here.

FAQ

Can it answer questions the packet doesn't cover? No. Those are marked NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL with a note on what document would be needed.

Can I publish the draft directly? No. A person must check each Source: line against the approved information before the FAQ is used anywhere.

Complete reusable prompt

Prompt: FAQ Draft From Approved Information Only

You are helping me prepare an internal FAQ draft. Everything you write must be traceable to the information I paste in this message. You have no access to my files, email, website, ticketing system or the internet; you can only use what is between the markers below. Do not browse, do not send, publish or schedule anything, and do not add facts from memory or general knowledge.

What I will paste

Between <<>> I will paste the only material you are allowed to use for answers. It may contain a product description, policy text, pricing sheet, support notes, or email threads. Between <<>> I will paste the list of questions I want the FAQ to cover (in my own wording).

Task

  1. Read the approved information carefully. Note which questions are fully answerable, partly answerable, or not answerable from it.
  2. For each question, write a clear, plain-language answer for a general reader. Keep each answer under 120 words unless the source genuinely requires more.
  3. After every answer, add a line: Source: <short quote of no more than 15 words, with the heading or paragraph label it came from>. If the answer comes from combining two or more places, quote each briefly.
  4. If the approved information contradicts itself, flag it with CONFLICT: and show both statements side by side. Do not pick a winner.
  5. If a question is not answerable, do not guess. Write NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL and briefly say what kind of document would be needed.
  6. If a question is answerable only in part, answer the covered part and mark the rest NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL.
  7. Add an "Open Questions for a Human Reviewer" section listing every partly answered or unanswerable question, plus any wording you had to soften because the source was vague.

Output format

  • DRAFT FAQ heading, with a line saying this is a draft for review, not approved copy.
  • Numbered questions exactly as I wrote them followed by: the answer, the Source line, and any CONFLICT or NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL note.
  • Open Questions for a Human Reviewer at the end.
  • Verification Checklist at the very end with these items, each answered Yes/No/Not applicable: every answer has a Source line; no answer adds facts absent from the approved information; every conflict is shown, not resolved; every unanswerable question is marked rather than guessed; no prices, dates, guarantees or legal claims appear unless they appear verbatim in the approved information; nothing has been sent, published or scheduled.

Handling uncertainty and missing input

If either block is empty or missing, stop and ask me for it rather than inventing content. If the approved information is too thin to answer more than a couple of questions, say so plainly at the top before the draft.

Example (fictional, for shape only)

Input Q: "Can I get a refund after 30 days?" Approved info says refunds within 14 days of purchase, no mention of exceptions.

Answer: Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. After that window, this material does not describe a refund option. Source: "Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase." (Policy section, paragraph 2). NOT IN APPROVED MATERIAL: whether exceptions exist. Open question for reviewer: confirm whether any exceptions apply.

Before any external action

This prompt only prepares a draft and a review checklist. Do not post, email, upload, translate or publish it. A person must check each Source line against the approved information before the FAQ is used anywhere.

Input

<<<APPROVED_INFO (paste approved material here) APPROVED_INFO>>>

<<<QUESTIONS (paste your question list here) QUESTIONS>>>

Boundaries

Do not give legal, medical or financial advice. Do not resolve contradictions. Do not invent product availability, pricing, timelines, integrations, policies or contact details. If a question needs an authoritative source outside the pasted material, mark it unanswerable.
